Betty Weintraub Obituary

On Monday, May 29, 2017 of Chevy Chase, MD. Beloved wife of Alan M. Weintraub; devoted mother of Jeffrey (Cassandra) Weintraub, Andrew (Jo-anne) Weintraub and Lisa (Edgar) Bridges; loving sister of the late Albert Cohn; cherished grandmother of Rachel and Alex Weintraub, Caleb (Amber) Weintraub, Noah (Brigid) Weintraub, Eliza Weintraub, Julian and Bernadette Bridges; loving great-grandmother of Finn Seneca Weintraub. Also survived by many loving relatives.
Betty Ann, the mighty and fiesty, was born on January 18, 1930 in Paterson, NJ to David and Rose Cohn.

Betty Ann was the younger sister to brother, Albert Linn, and wanted it known that he "consistently, for his entire life, cleared a path to allow his sister "sissy" an easy trail to thrive and grow".
Betty Ann graduated from Elemetary School # 13 and Eastside High School in Paterson, NJ. She attended Albright College and then transferred and graduated from Syracuse University in June 1951 with a double major in Psychology and English. She served as Vice President of her Sorority Sigma Delta Tau. Betty rode with the Potomac Hunt and was active in the Women's Board of the American Heart Association.

Betty Ann lit up the room and all who met her, loved her. She wanted everyone to know that she and Alan led a life filled with love, happiness, and adventure traveling the globe together. All who met her can attest to the fact that she was the light of their lives.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 2, 11 a.m. at Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb St., N.W., Washington, DC. Interment to follow at Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park, Clarksburg, MD. Family will be receiving friends at the Somerset House, Chevy Chase, MD immediately following services. Memorial contributions may be made to The Women's Board of the American Heart Association or Washington Hebrew Congregation.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
