Claire Reeva Dubinsky
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2014 in Sarasota, FL with her beloved husband of 62 years Robert by her side. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island to Lillian & Zelig Gorden. She and Robert moved to Maryland in 1955 and resided there until 1994 where they retired to Sarasota, Florida. Beloved mother of Debra Moser (Mitch), Diane Novick (Mark) and Bruce Dubinsky (Lori). She was also the proud grandmother of six grandsons, Gregg (Michelle), Adam (Yana), Steven (Ariel), Daniel, Matthew and Brian, and was also the great-grandmother to Lilly, Sam and Kylie. After raising her children Claire, returned to the University of Maryland where she earned Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Education and was a dedicated teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools. Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 3PM at Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park, Clarksburg, Maryland.
Funeral arrangements by Edward Sagel Funeral Direction, Inc. First night of Shiva will be held at the home of Bruce and Lori Dubinsky in Rockville, MD and the following two nights at the home of Diane and Mark Novick in Herndon, VA. (Minyan services each night at 7:30pm). Memorial contributions may be made to either the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Healthy Heart Campaign, Tidwell Hospice of Sarasota FL or Temple Beth Sholom, (Idelson Library Fund) Sarasota, FL.
