On Sunday, January 15, 2017 of Potomac, MD. Beloved wife of Jonathan Shanfield; devoted mother of Charlie and Will Shanfield; loving daughter of Dr. Michael Rowe and Dr. Ellengene Peterson. Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 19 at 12 p.m., at Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb Street, NW, Washington, DC 20016. Interment to follow at Garden of Remembrance, Clarksburg, MD. A reception will follow at the Julia Bindeman Suburban Center, 11810 Falls Road, Potomac, MD. 20854. The family will be observing Shiva on Friday, January 20 from 12 to 3 p.m. at the family home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Caregivers Action Network (www.caregiveraction.org) or the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America (www.ccfa.org).
