Alan Edward Singer, DPM of Potomac, MD passed way 10/15/2016 at the age of 74 in Asheville, NC. Originally from Washington DC, he was the son of the late Morris and Anita (Stupel) Singer. He is survived by his wife, Gail (Perilstein) and by his devoted daughter, Meredith Singer (Edward Moreadith). He was the beloved grandfather to 3 grandsons, Alden, Jeffrey, and Sidney. Dr. Singer graduated from University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill before completing medical school at Temple University. He completed his surgical residency at Georgetown University where he stayed on as an adjunct professor while in private practice. He also worked for DC public health in the early part of his career. Dr. Singer was on the surgical staff at Suburban Hospital and Georgetown University. He was a devoted physician to his patients and had an unparalleled passion for helping others.
Graveside services will be held at Judean Gardens on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 10am. There will be a memorial gathering after the services in Bethesda, MD (details to be provided at the service).
Gifts in his memory may be given to the Care Partners Solace Hospice Center inAsheville, NC or the Alzheimer's Association.
