Alexandra Kalliope Aposporos (Age 54)
Died November 10, 2016, in Rockville, MD, after valiantly battling cancer. Born the daughter of a CIA officer, she split her childhood among Greece, Argentina, and the U.S., graduating from Walter Johnson HS in 1979 and later studying at NY's FIT and Montgomery College. A force of nature with a huge personality, Alex was a gifted artist who lived life fearlessly with passion, honesty, and a deep loyalty for her many friends from high school, NY, and the NA program.
Daughter of Harriet K. and Themistocles G. Aposporos; sister of George (Sandra), Theodore (Nancy), and Demetra Aposporos (Mark W. Abbott). Beloved aunt to Michael, Abigail, Caroline, and Eleanor Aposporos and Helena and Maxwell Abbott. Alexandra is also survived by her mother-in-law Doris Harrington of Florida, and more family in Veria, Greece; she was predeceased by her husband, William S. Harrington, and her father.
Service Tuesday, Nov. 15 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Bethesda MD at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Casey House Montgomery Hospice or St. George's.
