Gitta Friedman Obituary
GITTA C. FRIEDMAN (nee Novick) of Washington, DC, died on June 14, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Sarah Novick. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Jack Friedman; the mother of Shelli Ochsman and Judi Ziegler; grandmother of Michael (Karen) Ochsman and Matthew (Paula) Ochsman; and the great-grandmother of Jack and Heather Ochsman. She had a wonderful life, filled with loving family and friends. She enjoyed many adventures and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 11 a.m. at Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb Street NW, Washington, DC 20016. Interment at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Adelphi, MD. Family will be sitting Shiva Wednesday through Friday at the Ochsman residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Animal Rescue League or to The Elephant Sanctuary, Hohenwald, Tennessee.
