Leora Yael Hamosh, beloved daughter of Paul Hamosh and the late Margit Hamosh, passed away peacefully at her home in Annapolis, MD. She is survived by her loving sisters, Ada Hamosh and Tamar Hamosh Taddei, their husbands, Hal Dietz and Christopher Taddei, and her nieces and nephew, Nina, Livia, Charlotte, and Thomas. Leora grew up in Bethesda, MD. She was a graduate of Walter Johnson HS and the University of Maryland. She loved theater, folk music, science, and nature. She was a medical student at the University of Maryland when a car accident in 1993 left her with a severe traumatic brain injury. Although she had significant physical and cognitive limitations, she never lost her ability to love deeply and laugh heartily. The Hamosh family is deeply grateful to all who touched her life and ours in caring for her and allowing her to maintain her dignity. We are especially grateful to all of her friends and family at Mary T. Maryland and her childhood friend, JoAnn Wu. In lieu of flowers, please send donations for community outreach to the Brain Injury Association of Maryland: www.biamd.org
