Victor David Cohen

Dr. Victor David Cohen, our beloved Vickush, died suddenly, Sunday evening April 3, 2016.
To his family and friends, Vic was not only a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a best-friend, a teacher, a companion, a massive force strengthening, loving, and caring for those around him.

Dr. Victor David Cohen (March 5, 1936 to April 3, 2016) was an innovative thinker who brought joy to those around him, with loving kindness and peppering of his humor and jokes. Vic was known for much more than being an accomplished engineer. He shared his comedic timing, love for food, wine, and chocolate.

His greatest love was for his best friend, love-of-his-life, and wife Ziva. Ziva was his number 1. Vic was passionately devoted to his Ziva and would do anything for her. Their love was strong, deep, and spiritual.

Vic was an outstanding father figure, proudly loving his sons Ayal Cohen and Yuval Cohen. He was a loving and active grandfather to his grandchildren, Ayal's children.

Vic was proud of his family, who were proud of him. He would complete any task to support family and friends, and they have all been empowered by Vic to shine as brightly as they can.

His accomplishments were extensive. Dr. Cohen led numerous programs dealing with the procurement of new and innovative systems and technology. He held various management positions with defense industry firms. During the 1980s, he was the U.S. Air Force's senior civilian for tactical warfare in charge of all projects and programs. He received three degrees from the Stevens Institute of Technology and was a private first class in the 1950s, serving in the Korean War.

Vic is survived by:

-wife Ziva Cohen

-son Ayal Cohen, his wife Sharon, and children Alana and Gabriel

-son Yuval Cohen, his fiancé Mark 

-sister Annette Brody

Services and funeral will be Thursday April 7, 2016, at 12:00 noon at Garden of Remembrance, Gan Zikaron Memorial Park, 14321 Comus Road, Clarksburg, Maryland, 20871. People are asked to arrive by 11:30am.

The family will sit Shiva following the funeral and for a week to follow at Vic and Ziva's home.

For the Shiva week, visitation hours are: Thursday after the funeral, Friday 11am-4pm, Saturday 7-9pm, Sunday 11am-2pm and 6-9pm, and Monday-Wednesday 5-9pm.
