Obituary

On Sunday, June 3, 2018, Adele Diane Slomowitz of N. Bethesda, MD passed away peacefully in her sleep. Born in Glen Rock, N.J. in 1928 and raised in Paterson, N.J., she graduated high school and went on to study at the Latin American Institute in NYC, where she graduated as a bilingual secretary in 1946. She then worked as a bilingual secretary at MGM International in NYC. In 1955, she married Gilbert Slomowitz from Paterson, N.J. They had two children, Nancy and Richard Slomowitz. Adele and Gilbert moved the family to Potomac, MD in 1965 and Ft. Lauderdale in 1976. In 1983, they moved to Crystal City and later Rosslyn, VA, until Gilbert's passing in 1988. Adele volunteered 800 hours at Arlington Hospital before moving to N. Bethesda in 1993. She also enjoyed many hobbies, one of which was decorating Emu, Ostrich, and Goose eggs in the Faberge style. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, VA. Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care.
