Alfred Rosenthal, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2016, at home surrounded by his family. Loving husband of Rosalind Rosenthal for 44 years; devoted father of Kevin (Isabel) Rosenthal and Lori (Keith) Mauzy; adored grandfather of Samantha and Gabriella Rosenthal and Kyle, Kristyn and Sean Mauzy; and beloved brother of Stanley (Judy) Rosenthal and Marilyn Klevit. A special thanks to his devoted caregivers Sam Tawiah, Emerson Sandy and Dorothy Maingi. Al was born in Bronx, NY, on March 20, 1932, to the late Lottie and Max Rosenthal. He was the owner of a cleaning supplies business and active in the Masons. His joys in life, besides his family, were watching football, working out and playing racquetball at the JCC, playing cards and occasional trips to the casino. Family and friends will observe Shiva at the family home Thursday and Friday. Services at Kol Shalom, 9110 Darnestown Rd., Rockville, MD, on Thursday, June 30, at 11 a.m. Interment Garden of Remembrance, 14321 Comus Rd., Clarksburg, MD.
