Ms. Amy Roberts, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, born on December 10, 1966 in Silver Spring, Maryland, to Barbara Roberts and the late Carl Roberts, passed away unexpectedly at age 52 on December 29, 2018 in Washington, D.C. She graduated from Walter Johnson High School. She worked in the restaurant and catering industry as a baker, most recently at Milk Bar Bakery. Amy was preceded in death by her uncle, William Roberts. She is survived by her sisters, Susan Lubar and Beth Roberts; brother-in-law, Ken Lubar; niece, Allegra Lubar; aunt and uncle, Ina and Sam Starobin; as well as many loving cousins and their children. The family invites donations in Amy's name to Manna Food Center (https://www.mannafood.org/), Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County (https://awlmc.org/), or a charity of your choosing. Friends and family are welcome to attend the funeral service on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Temple Beth Ami, 14330 Travilah Road, Rockville, MD. The family will sit shiva from 6-8pm that evening in Bethesda, MD. The family will also sit shiva from 3-5pm on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at The Commons, One Harvest Circle, Lincoln, MA.
