On Saturday, October 12, 2024, Barbara Katz, of Olney, MD beloved wife of Lt. Col Sey Katz (retired); devoted mother of Jane Owens, Craig Katz, Lori Katz; loving sister of the late Estelle Siegel; cherished grandmother of Crystal and Jamie Wright, Drew Katz, Haven Katz, Amanda and Zach Kenny, Brittany Luksic, Kimberly and Maxwell Navarra. Great grandmother of Troy and Brandi Wright, Aby Kenny and Grayson Navarra.

Barbara's family was her joy, and she was their biggest cheerleader. She did a great Charleston. She played tournament bridge when she was younger and later was an avid Mah Jong player. Barbara was a fantastic cook. As a military wife, Barbara lived in Germany, France, Korea, and Taiwan, finally settling in Olney, Maryland.

Shiva will be observed following the funeral at the Katz Residence. Shiva will resume Wednesday, October 16 at starting at 10am. Minyan starting at 7:30pm each day.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Frederick Health Hospice or Montgomery Hospice .
