Barbara Lenkin Zuckerman, 83, of Washington D.C., passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024. She was born in Washington, D.C., to the late Morris Lenkin and Jeannette Ansell. After graduating from Coolidge High School, Barbara embarked on a diverse career that emphasized her creative and entrepreneurial spirit. As the owner of the gift shop The Talisman, Barbara brought carefully curated gifts to customers in upper NW Washington. Later, Barbara opened Crescents, a casual eatery at 19th and K Street in downtown D.C. She completed her career as a successful real estate agent working for top agencies in the area, always finding the perfect homes for her many clients. Barbara pursued artistic endeavors throughout her life, from painting to making and selling unique beaded jewelry. She especially enjoyed collecting crafts made by artisans worldwide. Her dog Olive held a special piece of her heart, but she was most proud of her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Barbara is survived by her siblings Rochelle (Peter) and Charles (Renee), her two children Lauren (Cary) and Mark (AJ), and her four grandchildren Hazel, Eleanor, Theo, and Lana.
