On Saturday, May 17, 2025, BEATRICE ROOT of Bethesda, MD, one month after celebrating her 100th birthday.

Beloved wife of the late Samuel Root; Loving mother of Deborah Hersh and her husband Ira Hersh, Jerrold Root and the late Pamela Root. Adoring grandmother to Jason Hersh, Dana Karangelen and Mary Schuette; Great-grandmother to Samantha and Max Hersh, and Stratton Schuette.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, 11am, at Temple Beth Ami, Rockville, MD, followed by interment at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to JSSA Hospice or to a charity of your choice.
