On Wednesday, February 7, 2018 of Silver Spring, MD and Longboat Key, FL, Bernard passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Beloved husband of the late Rosalind Blankenheimer; devoted father of Susan and Alan; cherished grandfather of Adam, Aaron, Benjamin and Matthew. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 9, 12:00 pm at Temple Shalom in Chevy Chase, MD, of which he was one of the founders. Interment will follow at King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, VA. Family will be observing shiva at the home of Susan Blankenheimer on Saturday, February 10 with a minyan service at 7:30 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Shalom. Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care.
