On January 16, 2025, Bernard Klein of Rockville, MD, passed away peacefully at home. Loving husband of the late Esther Klein; devoted father of Karen Klein and Michael Klein; cherished brother of Benson (Carol) Klein and the late Beatty (Buddy) Bass; beloved grandfather of Jane and Libby.

A proud graduate of the University of Maryland, Bernie spent 50 years building homes all throughout the region. He was a rain-or-shine devotee of Washington's NFL Team through all of its name changes, as well as the Nationals, Orioles, and Ravens. He loved nothing more than visiting and spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and the rest of his large extended family. In the end, he managed an uncharacteristic feat of impeccable timing, passing away in his sleep on his and Esther's 58th wedding anniversary.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, 1 pm at Judean Chapel with interment to follow at Judean Memorial Gardens 16225 Batchellors Forest Road, Olney, MD 20832. Family will be receiving following burial at The Grand. Shiva to resume at the residence of Benson and Carol Klein Monday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association (heart.org), the International Myeloma Foundation (myeloma.org), or the Jewish Social Service Agency (jssa.org).
