On Sunday, October 30, 2016, passed away peacefully. She is survived by her loving husband, Norman; daughter Lyndsey (Michael) Epperson; son, Scott (Stefanie) Sugar; grandchildren, Archer and Tyler Epperson and Marissa and Jordan Sugar; sisters, Sharon Braver Cohen (Alan) and Rita Braver (Bob Barnett); nieces, Heather Eig, Tiffany Yaker, Meredith Barnett, and many other relatives. Bettie grew up in Washington, DC and moved to the Maryland suburbs to raise her family. She worked as a Lab Manager for the National Cancer Institute at National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD for 38 years. Her family and friends were the most important things in her life. A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 3 at 12 p.m., at the Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park in Clarksburg, MD, with Shiva at the family home immediately after, and again on Friday from 2 until 8 p.m.
