Beloved wife of late Leon April, devoted mother of Tina April, Michele April, and Rebecca April Fitch. Loving sister of late Hilda Speier Lewis, late John Speier and late Anni Speier; grandmother of Nicholas Fitch and Ashley Fitch, great- grandmother of Leon Lebar.
She was born in Danzig, Germany. Her family fled Germany in October 1939. They lived in Glassboro, New Jersey. In 1947 she married Leon April of Carmel, NJ. They lived in Vineland, NJ, with their three daughters.
She then lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She volunteered for 15 years at the Museum of American Jewish History and was a supporter of Hadassah Women’s Zionist Organization of America.
In 2020 she moved to Bethesda, Maryland and lived with her daughters, Tina and Michele. She passed away in August 2025 at 99 years of age.
She will always be remembered as a kind and generous woman.
