Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister. Born 1931 in Greensboro, North Carolina and died at the age of 91 on September 30, 2022. Betty is preceded in death by her husband Melvin Gusdorf Jr.; brother Frank Whyman; and sister Winnie Rich. She leaves behind her sister Madeline Smith; son Barry Gusdorf and wife Lori Lori Gusdorf; daughter Julia Cleveland; four grandchildren Jennifer Wainberg, Heather Rivera, Matthew Gusdorf, Melissa Gusdorf, and seven great grandchildren. Service will be October 3 at 11 a.m. at Washington Hebrew Congregation Memorial Park, 1380 Alabama Ave SE Washington, DC 20032. Shiva will take place at 7 p.m. at Whitley Park Terrace – Bethesda, party room.
