Beverly Gendleman passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025 at the age of 97 after suffering a stroke. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 22, 1928 to Mack and Rose Stoller. She moved to the Washington, D.C. area as a young child and spent the rest of her life there, graduating from Calvin Coolidge High School in 1946. She married Norman Rosenberg (now deceased) on January 18, 1948 and she later married Milton Gendleman (also deceased) on February 25, 1977. She is survived by her longtime partner, Moritz Cohen, Jr., her three sons—Robert (Lisa), Bruce (Arlene) and Brian (Elaine)—her four grandchildren—Claire (David Reed), Andrew (Susan), Max and Danny—and her three great-grandchildren—Graham, Naomi and Nate. She was a kind and gentle woman, a shaper of many lives, and she will be long remembered by all who knew and loved her. Graveside funeral services will take place at King David Memorial Gardens on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at 2 pm. At the conclusion of the services, the family will be receiving visitors from 4 pm to 8 pm at 7420 Westlake Terrace, Bethesda, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverly's memory should be made to the charity of your choice or to Casey House in Rockville, Maryland .
