Bonnie Savitt passed on February 7, 2024.
She was wife to Martin Savitt; sister to Jay Pomerantz; mother to Joseph and the late Jennifer.
She was born in the Jewish Hospital In Brooklyn NY to Jean and Joseph Pomerantz, and came to DC when she was about 5 years old. Her father owned a grocery store and they lived above it. The family moved to Riggs Park during her childhood. She worked at Walter Reed Medical Center after graduating HS until shortly before Joseph was born. She also worked in retail for her parents handbag Store in White Flint Mall. When the store closed, she worked in Neiman Marcus doing retail. She loved to shop especially for clothing and jewelry. She loved to shop for Beanie Babies and well over 100 of them. She didn't like sitting around at home except when she became ill and had to. She liked being around friends and going on vacations. She loved working and being around people.
She will be remembered as loving, outgoing, kind, and devoted to people and pets she loved. She was a great best friend to Anne and best wife and mother anyone could ever ask for.
