On December 8, 2023, Brian Kent Sliker of Chevy Chase, Maryland passed away. He was the beloved husband of Iris S. Díaz-Sliker and the devoted father of Socorro Isabella Sliker-Díaz. He was also the loving brother of Betsy K. Sierota (née Sliker) and Suzanne L. Swanson (née Sliker). He is survived by his niece Molly M. Miller (Frederick) and their daughter Addison, his nephews William Kenneth Swanson IV and Spencer Richard Swanson, and his brother-in-law José J. Díaz and family. Furthermore, he leaves behind many friends and relatives in Erie, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, and throughout the United States. Brian is remembered as a kind, principled, and thoughtful man who demonstrated deep love towards his family, faith, and the environment.

Viewing and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at Bethesda United Methodist Church located at 8300 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD. The interment will take place at Serenity Ridge, 2406 Ridge Road, Windsor Mill, MD immediately after the service. A Memorial Service will take place in Erie following the New Year's.
