It is with great sadness that the family of Corinne Bronfman z"l announces her passing on Friday, October 7, 2022, in Washington, DC. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Corinne was the second daughter of the late Marjorie and the late Gerald Bronfman. Loving sister and sister-in-law of Joanie Bronfman and Neal McMilllan, Judy Bronfman-Thau and Isaac Thau, Jeffrey and Stace Bronfman. Beloved aunt of Elana Barak (Dan), Jonathan Thau, and David Bronfman (Amanda).

Corinne attended school in Montreal before setting off for university in the US, and then moving to live in Paris, France. An adventurous and talented spirit led her to originally pursue a career as a professional artist. Her works hang in many private collections. She made a mid-life career change in 1988 receiving a PhD. in Economics from NYU. Corinne had a fulfilling career first as a professor in Tucson and then as an economist for the US Treasury Department in Washington, DC. When she retired, she devoted herself to philanthropic endeavors, including micro-finance, the FSH society and the Georgetown Waterfront Park. Corinne was an enormously intelligent, brave, and self-reliant woman. Despite being afflicted by Muscular Dystrophy for much of her life she swam and exercised every day and lived life on her own terms. Corinne will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of having known her.

Graveside service on Wednesday, October 12 at 12:00 noon, at the Garden of Remembrance Cemetery, in Clarksburg, MD.
