On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, Dena Stein, of Gaithersburg, MD. In loving memory and profound sadness, announce the passing of our beloved daughter Dena. Dena is survived by her parents; Joyce Hilsberg Katz and Steve Katz; Also survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Dena touched our lives, and the lives of others, with her compassion, generosity, and caring spirit, always asking about others during these troubled times. Dena worked endlessly to beat her painful illness, but finally lost her battle.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, 10:00am at Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb St., NW, Washington, DC, 20032.
