On November 15, 2023, Diane Paula Davis (née Leish) of Silver Spring, MD, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. She was born August 25, 1940, in Washington, DC.

A lifelong resident of the greater Washington area, Diane was a devoted mother and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking for loved ones, spending time with her many friends, tending to her flowers, and knitting haut couture purses. All who knew her were enchanted by her vivacious nature. She made friends easily, and forged relationships with many that sustained through the decades of her life. Diane loved jazz music and Washington's pro-football team. She was passionate, outspoken, and energetic, and she never forgot a loved one's birthday or other special occasion.

She is predeceased by parents Henry Leish of Washington, DC, and Shirley Leish (née Schecter) of Silver Spring, MD, by brother Bob Leish of Rockville, MD, and by her husband of 25 years, Harvey Davis of Rockville, MD. She is survived by sister Irma Sabin of Silver Spring, MD, and children Maris Bigelow (Paul) of Rockville, MD, Howard Gordon (Stephanie) of Bristow, VA, and Wayne Gordon (Joan) of North Potomac, MD. She is also survived by grandchildren Aaron, Jesse, Shanna, and Steven, and great grandchildren Carmela, Luciana, Naomi, and Levi.

Funeral service will be held at 2pm on November 17 at Judean Memorial Gardens in Olney, MD.  Following the service, family will receive friends at Leisure World of Maryland, 3330 N Leisure World Blvd, Silver Spring, MD, in the first-floor reception room.
