Donald Edwin Dworkin (Age 83) of Silver Spring, MD, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025, at Friends House in Sandy Brook, MD. Born and raised in Washington, DC, Don graduated from Coolidge High School and went on to attend The George Washington University on a football scholarship, earning an M.A. degree. He began his professional life as a teacher and guidance counselor before working as an executive with Xerox Corporation and eventually becoming a longtime commercial realtor specializing in multifamily investment properties. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he was an avid golfer in his later years and a devoted Washington Commanders fan.

Don was a tireless champion of Montgomery College, serving as chair of the Montgomery College Foundation Golf Tournament for 11 years. Under his leadership, revenues grew from $40,000 to $135,000, and he was instrumental in raising more than $1 million for college scholarship programs. Known for his generosity and kind spirit, Don always looked for ways to support those around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Morris Dworkin, and by his siblings, Robert Dworkin and Rhoda Piatok Sage. Don is survived by his wife, Judith; his son, Douglas; and additional close relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
