Dorothy K. Goodman, of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Lester Goodman. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Hillary and Harry Egeth, Paula Goodman-Crews and Tom Crews, and Lynne Goodman and Tim Bernetsky. Loving sister of the late Edward Kotler. Cherished grandmother of Laura Rachel Crews and Kyle Mayne Crews.

Dorothy is also survived by extended family and many dear friends.

She lived a rich and meaningful life, marked by deep devotion to her family, passionate commitment to social causes, and an exceptional work ethic. A leader in the field of library science, Dorothy had a lifelong love of reading and thoughtful conversation. Her warmth, authenticity, and charm deeply touched the lives of all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
