Dorothy Shuken On Wednesday, May 6, 2014, Dorothy Shuken, aged 99 ½ , beloved wife of the late Morris (Shukie), mother of Bob and Cynthia, grandmother of Mark and Laurie and great-grandmother to their six children, died after a short illness. The focus of her life was her immediate and extended family, and large number of devoted long-term friends. She was, for many years, the information hub of the family, maintaining contacts and keeping everyone informed about the family developments and achievements. For many years, she supported her husband Shukie (Morris) in running the family business, "The Fruit Basket", in downtown Washington, for which she single-handedly handled all the administration, correspondence and billing, before the age of computers. She will be greatly missed by the many who loved her. Services Private.
