Eric Applebaum Herson, known as Ricky, was born in Washington, DC on March 27, 1949, to Nathaniel (z"l) and Anita (z"l). Ricky proudly grew up in Rollingwood neighborhood, where he secured what became lifelong friendships.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, his daughters Ashley (Sharif) and Melanie (Matthew), his 3 granddaughters Stella, Naya, Mara and Carol's children Jason (Rebecca) and Amy. He is also survived by his former wife Andrea Herson. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Marla Herson Rishty, (Martin Rishty z"l) and brother Alan Herson.

He will be sorely missed by close relatives and his many friends.

Ricky had a long and successful career starting at the age of 13, working alongside his father and grandfather at Herson Auto Parts, which later became Herson Glass Company. He was beloved by family, friends, and employees, and he made a lasting impression with his fabulous sense of humor and quick wit.

Services will be held Monday, October 20, 2025, 11am, at Congregation B'nai Tzedek, 10621 S Glen Road, Potomac, MD 20854, with burial to follow at King David Memorial Gardens. Shiva information will be provided at service.
