Evelyn Lea Perlmutter, 99 years old, of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Service will be held at the Judean Gardens Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 4 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Judean Gardens Memorial Cemetery.

Evelyn Lea Friedman was born Easton, PA to Fannie and Simon Friedman on March 11, 1925. She attended Easton High School and George Washington University.  She was a homemaker for many years and travel agent.

Evelyn is survived by her children Diane Perlmutter Reynolds, Sandra Perlmutter, Bruce (Elise)  Perlmutter, grandchildren Alexa, Brett, Jesse and Jared Perlmutter and nephews Bert (Julie) Friedman and Craig (Shelley) Friedman.  She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry of 57 years, her parents Fannie and Simon Friedman, her brother Seymour Friedman (Charlene).

Shiva will be held at the home of Diane Perlmutter Reynolds. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Foundation of Leisure World, 3701 Rossmoor Blvd, Silver Spring, MD  20906.  Donations online can be made via www.lwfnd.com , (type '(Perl)' after the inputted last name).
