Gary Clifford Tepper died surrounded by his adoring family on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Beloved husband of Judy Fox-Tepper and son of Beatrice Tepper, devoted father of Alex Tepper and Rachel Tepper Paley and father-in-law to Jon Paley and Arielle Feldshon. Gary was whip-smart and deeply loyal, with an abiding love for family and friends. If there was a problem, Gary Tepper would fix it. Born in Cordele, Georgia, Gary later attended college at Brandeis University and law school at Yale University. After 35 years in private practice in Washington, D.C., in retirement Gary found fulfillment providing pro bono services on fair debt collection to the civil rights' group Washington Lawyers' Committee. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 4, 2018, 1 p.m. at Temple Beth Ami, 14330 Travilah Rd, Rockville, MD. Interment to follow at Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park, 14321 Comus Rd, Clarksburg, MD. The family will observe shiva at the residence of Judy Fox-Tepper. Minyan will be Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 7 p.m., and Monday at 7 p.m. Donations in his honor can be made to the Anti-Addiction Fund in memory of Scott Sternberg at Temple Beth Ami.
