Geraldine Anne Smith of Frederick, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012. Gerry was born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 2, 1924. She served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a Teacher's Assistant in Montgomery County for 16 years. She was married to the late Lee Thornton Smith of Clarksburg. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Francis and Lawrence Heuser. She is survived by her three children: Linda Lucido of Fontana, California; Janice Lee Gallagher of California, Maryland; Edward Lee Smith of Thurmont, Maryland; and her three grandchildren Michael, Colleen, and Cory Gallagher.A memorial service in her honor will be held Sunday, January 22nd, at 2:30 in the afternoon at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10621 Old Frederick Road, Thurmont.
