Gerson H. Cohen PhD Dr.Gerson H. Cohen passed away peacefully on July 11, 2015 at the age of 76. He was a scientist his entire life, and worked as an x-ray crystallographer at the NIDDK/National Institutes of Health from 1965-2006. He was active in the Jewish community, and served on the Board of Jewish Education for many years. Dr.Cohen is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Cohen; daughters, Esther (Steve) Weiss, Meira (Marc) Meltzer, Adina Cohen; and five grandchildren, all local to Rockville, MD as well as his brother, Martin Cohen of Philadelphia, PA. The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care,1170, Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852. Interment will be held at, Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park, Clarksburg, MD.
