On Saturday, August 26, 2023, Gloria Sterling, 100, died peacefully at her home in Bethesda, Maryland. She was predeceased in 2015, by her husband of 65 years Dr. Harold Sterling. She is survived by her son Richard Sterling of Naples, Florida; her daughter Janet Abramson (Jeffrey) of Potomac, Maryland; two loving grandchildren, Laurie Kuntz (Stuart) and Michael Abramson (Catherine); four great grandchildren, Michelle Kuntz, Ari Kuntz, Hailey Abramson and William Abramson; her sister Ruth Goldstein; and her brother Michael Flyer (Ellie).

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Washington Hebrew Congregation Cemetery, 1380 Alabama Avenue, S.E. in Washington, D.C.

Family will receive friends at the residence of Janet and Jeffrey Abramson immediately following her burial.  Shiva will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
