Suddenly, on Saturday, December 3, 2011 - Harry Pitt of Rockville, MD. Beloved husband of the late Babette Pitt; devoted and loving father of Jeff (Eliana) Pitt, Joel (Janet) Pitt, and Robbie Pitt; adored grandfather of Alan, Jordan, Bryan, Lindsay, Ashley, and Brooke Pitt; dear brother in law of Donald (Carol) Vogel; cherished companion of Suzie Offit;Harry was the Superintendent of Montgomery County Public Schools serving in the school system for 30 years. A funeral service will be held on Tuesdsay, December 6 - 10:30 AM at Temple Beth Ami 14330 Travilah Road, Rockville, MD. Interment to follow at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church, VA. The family will receive friends immediately following the interment through Tuesday evening and Wednesday evening at the residence of Joel and Janet Pitt.
