Harvey Perlstein, 86, of Silver Spring, MD passed away on November 23 in Silver Spring, MD, surrounded by family.

Harvey was born in Brooklyn NY to Elsie and Benjamin Perlstein on September 1, 1935. He went to high school at Brooklyn Poly Tech. He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Masters in Electric Engineering from Brooklyn Poly Technical University.  Living in New York, they had two children, Eric and Elana. Harvey is survived by his loving wife Muriel, his children, Eric Perlstein (Karen) and Elana Hoopes (Tom), and his grandchildren, Sara, Kyle, Scott and Brooke.

A graveside service will be held at Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park on November 28 at 10:30 AM with Rabbi Robert Goldstein. In lieu of flowers, private contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org. The family would like to thank the community for their ongoing support.
