Helen Abrahams used to wake up every morning and ask her husband to see if she was in the obits. Hey, Mom, you made it! Helen, of Rockville, MD, still apparently 39, passed away on February 8, 2025. Shaped on the streets of NYC, she was a long-time leader of programs for seniors in Montgomery County after earlier careers in retail and teaching. She loved ridiculously sweet iced coffee, music, making kugels, and, more than anything, family and friends. She adored her late husband Howard, kids Jenny (Daniel) Flax and Michael (Rachael) Abrahams, sister Leona and especially grandkids Max, Sara and Jack. Helen's life over the past few years was made much sweeter by her close friend Hal Morrison and through the care and camaraderie of Anastasia Lang. A memorial celebration will be held on Monday, February 10 at 1 p.m. at The Carnegie in Gaithersburg, MD.
