On Saturday, September 23, 2023, Helen Shell of Rockville, MD passed away. Beloved wife of Ely Shell; devoted mother of Robin, Joyce (Richard) Lynch and the late David (Lori) Shell; loving sister of Howard (Linda) Finkelstein; cherished grandmother of Brendan, Hailey, Nicole, Samantha, Lindsay, and Ryan. Helen is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. She worked many years at Beth El Congregation in Bethesda, MD. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023, 11 a.m. at Garden of Remembrance Memorial Chapel with interment to follow. Family will be receiving following services at the Lakelands Clubhouse, 960 Main St. Gaithersburg, MD from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation ( komen.org ).
