Henry Stuart Blank, D.D.S., 79, passed away from cancer on March 22, 2025 in Olney, Maryland.

Henry was born in The Bronx, NY to the late Morris and Sylvia Blank. He graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1967 with his B.A. in Psychology. He then graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1971 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery.

He married his wife, Donna, in 1988 and they opened their private practice, Blank Family Dentistry, in 1990. Henry was one of the lucky people who found his life's calling. Dentistry truly was his passion. The only thing Dr. Blank cared about more than dentistry itself was his patients, forming long-lasting relationships with many of them. It was very important to him that his patients were comfortable and had a fear free experience. He deeply loved his work and only retired when his illness forced him to.

Other than dentistry, Henry loved history, especially military history. His other major interests were geography and trivia. He was curious and wanted to know everything about everything. He also loved telling jokes, as his family and patients will attest to. He spent his last full day telling jokes to his family. His favorite place on Earth was Trunk Bay in St. John, USVI. His second favorite place was the Parkway Deli, eating half sour pickles.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Donna, and their two children Lindsay (Eliot) and Peachie (Nathan). He is also survived by his two children from a previous marriage, Jason (Sarah) and  Marisa, and his three grandchildren Aoi, Max, and Jackson. He was very excited to learn about his fourth grandchild, due in June. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
