On December 10, 2016,HERBERT J. BRONER, passed away in Potomac, MD. He is survived by Janice Reiskin Broner, his devoted wife of 65 years; and his daughters, Lisa Cort (Bruce), Karen Dippo (John) and his son, Frank Broner (Annette). In addition, he had seven beautiful grandchildren and one great-grandson. Herbert was born in Chelsea, MA and a graduate of Brookline High School. In 1949 he graduated from Middlebury College. He spent many years working in various roles for Mohasco, a home furnishing manufacturer and Fortune 500 company. Mr. Broner was the driving force behind the creation of CORT Furniture Rental. He became the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Mohasco Corporation. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016, 1:30 p.m. at Congregation B'nai Tzedek, 10621 South Glen Rd., Potomac, MD 20854. Interment will be held at King David Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA. Family will be observing Shiva at the late residence Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 7 p.m. www.sagelbloomfield.com
