Dr. Herman J. Kossow of Chevy Chase, Maryland, died peacefully at home on February 16, 2018 at age 102. He leaves his beloved wife of more than 77 years, Florence, and his loving children Richard and Kathryn. He is also survived by his adoring granddaughters Lauren (Brian) Kiraly and Keren Kossow, and great grandchildren, Olive, Alexander and Henry. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 19, at 12:00 pm at Temple Shalom, 8401 Grubb Road, Chevy Chase, Maryland. Interment will be private. Family and friends are invited to the residence of Florence Kossow, 8100 Connecticut Avenue, on Tuesday, February 20 and Wednesday February 21, from 2 pm to 4 pm, for refreshments, and a chance to share memories and stories about Hy Kossow.
