Howard Jay Braun Howie set a shining example for the family he loved so dearly, and we watched with admiration and love as he valiantly battled acute lymphoblastic leukemia over the past year. Howie passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 3, 2016. A retired communications attorney and active volunteer in his community, Howie was an inspiration and friend to many. He enhanced countless lives, none more than his beloved family, with his boundless energy and 'never-quit' attitude. Per his request, interment will be private. The family will not be receiving at their homes; Instead, his wife, Karen (Leventhal), sons David (Melanie Wyvill) and Gary (Kimberly Burton), and grandchildren Madeleine, Georgia, Sydney, Alex and Carter invite you to join them in a celebration of his life at Two o'clock at the Glenview Mansion, 603 Edmonston Drive, Rockville, MD on ­Friday, December 9, 2016 Donations in his memory can be made to The Leukemia Research Foundation (www.allbloodcancers.org) or a charity of your choice.
