Beloved husband of Judge Bess Blafkin Lavine; devoted father of Sherrie (Peter) Krauser, Hilary Lavine (Allan Ginsburg), Matt (Deborah) Lavine; loving grandfather of Abigail (Zachary) Shrier, Joshua Ginsburg, Daniel Krauser, Shana Ginsburg (Sarah Kahle), Jessalyn (Robert) Schaefer, Adlai Lavine, Kenai Lavine, Samuel Lavine; great-grandfather of Jackson, Raphael and Daphne Shrier and Jonah Schaefer and beloved uncle to his nephews and nieces. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016, 11 a.m. at Tikvat Israel Congregation, 2200 Baltimore Road, Rockville, MD 20851. Interment at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church, VA. The family will be observing Shiva at the residence of Hilary Lavine through Tuesday.
