Irwin Bernard Lindenberg (95) of Bethesda, Maryland, passed away on Monday, November 13th, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Carole Lindenberg; devoted father of Gary (Mechelle) Lindenberg, Ilene (the late Sam) O'Daniel, Tracy (Marc) Backers, Leslie Lindenberg (Noel Segal), and Debbie (Rich) Waxman. He was also the cherished Grandfather of Erica Lindenberg (Marcos Gensollen), Alli Lindenberg, Corey Lindenberg, Sammy (Louise) O'Daniel, Emily (Andrew) Dans, Alex (Dan) Husum, Justin O'Daniel, Kyle (Megan) Backers, Courtney (Ben) Sweger, Jake Backers, Jesse Backers, Nikki Waxman (Lee Silvernail), Lauren Kolodin, Tammi Waxman, Michael Kolodin and great grandson Chase Backers.

Born in Philadelphia, Irwin was the youngest of three siblings. He attended Penn State University and studied journalism. After graduating, he worked as a journalist for the Navy. He then became a furniture salesman. In 1958, he met the love of his life, Carole (Westrich) Lindenberg. After a few weeks of dating, the two were engaged and married soon after. They had 5 children and raised them in Potomac, Maryland. Irwin was a successful business owner manufacturing furniture for 25 years in North Carolina developing many employees who loved working with him. After retiring, he enjoyed spending his time with his many children, grandchildren, and watching his favorite Washington sports teams.

Private funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 19th.
