Janet Rose Cooper, nee Targan, of Chevy Chase, MD passed away peacefully on October 26, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Jack Cooper; cherished mother of daughters Leslie Ann (Ronald) Leven and Lois Beth (George) Cooper, and proud grandmother of David Mark (Stella), Stephen Todd (Mira) and Eric Michael (Abbey), and great-grandmother of Sasha, Jasper and Louis. Also survived by nephew Steven Cooper and nieces Linda Silberg, Joy Lester and Cherry Goldblatt and other dearest friends and great admirers everywhere who were touched by her great spirit and joy of living. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 12 Noon at Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb Street, NW, Washington, DC 20016 with interment to follow at Mt Lebanon Cemetery, Adelphi, MD. Family will be observing Shiva through Tuesday at the home of Leslie and Ronald Leven with Minyan at 7 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to Montgomery Hospice.
