On Monday, May 11, 2026, Janet Verner Platt Lambert of Chevy Chase, MD passed away. Predeceased by her husbands Marc Platt, Eugene Lambert, and stepdaughter Kathryn Garmers. Survived by stepchildren, Kenneth and Jocelyn; Cherished grandmother of Seth Garmers and Abram Davidson. 

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, 12:00 pm at Temple Beth Ami, 14330 Travilah Rd, Rockville, MD 20850, with burial to follow at King David Memorial Gardens, Falls Church, VA 22042. The family will host a meal and Shiva ceremony following the burial from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Clydes, 5441 Wisconsin Ave, Chevy Chase, MD 20815.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Janet's name may be made to The Avalon Theater Project, Smithsonian Women's History Museum, or Temple Beth Ami. Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care.
