On May 3, 2021, of Potomac, MD, died peacefully at home. He was born in Washington, DC and graduated from Stanton Military Academy, Stanton, VA. He attended George Washington University and was a self-made success story. He was a builder, developer, owner of Sherry's Liquor Store, Washington, DC, real estate investor and sat on the board of several banks. He celebrated 61 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Beverly, before her passing on August 11, 2017. Loving father of Sheryl Bensimon and Alan (Cheryl) Talpalar; devoted grandfather to six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Brother of Eleanor Talpalar Rosenfeld. Private funeral services are being held May 5, 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jay's memory can be made to the cancer charity of your choice.
