April 11, 1955 – December 11, 2020
Jeffrey David Williams (April 11, 1955 – December 11, 2020) died at his home in Rockville, Maryland.
Jeff was a lifelong resident of Maryland, and graduated from Springbrook High School in Silver Spring. He grew up in the 1960's and '70's and was an active participant in the cultural changes in progress in American society at the time. He enjoyed the music of the day and was a supporter of local radio and patronized local live music venues. He attended the University of Maryland where he studied biochemistry and earned a Bachelor's of Science degree.
His interests were many and varied and he had nearly encyclopedic knowledge on a range of topics. These interests led to firmly held beliefs, which he was not afraid to share enthusiastically. Jeff had a lifelong appreciation of food and was an excellent cook. He had a wry sense of humor, enjoyed a good social game of poker, was not easily stumped by a crossword puzzle, and was a great conversationalist.
Jeff started working at Neutron Products in Dickerson, Maryland in 1977, and worked there for his entire professional career. He served many roles, including Technical Director and Radiation Safety Officer.
Jeff was the adoring and proud father of Zoe, and is survived by her, as well her mother Inna and his parents Shelley and Joel Williams. He is also survived by his siblings Craig (Kim) and Steffi.
The family will have a private burial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Humane Rescue Alliance.
