Jordan S. Himelfarb, who would have turned 100 years old on March 31, 2025, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, at home with the love of his life, his wife of 75 years, Marian.
A native Washingtonian, Jordan practiced law in private practice and for DC's WMATA. He was a proud sailor on the USS PC490 as a signalman during WWII, and enjoyed traveling/cruising, playing golf and spending time with his family, particularly at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. He is survived by his wife Marian, children, Stephen (Anne), Daniel (Harriet Kerwin) and Nancy/Chana Gimble (Glenn), seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, 3pm, at King David Memorial Garden Cemetery in Falls Church, VA.
Shiva will be observed Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 6:30pm in the Community Room at 3200 N. Leisure World, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude or a charity of your choice.
