A Washington, DC native, in her 103rd year died peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2014. Beloved by all who knew her; surviving spouse of H. Max Ammerman. She is survived by her son, Andrew R. Ammerman of Chevy Chase, MD and Highland Beach, FL and by a loving extended family. Andrew Ammerman survives his brother, Stephen C. Ammerman. In lieu of flowers, donations in Josephine's memory can be made to Arena Stage.
